X Models Blade XL

The Blade XL 2.5 has outstanding speed and performance and is ideal as a high performance sports model. It is also very suitable as a starter model in F3F competitions. This model has the same aerofoil as the Blade 1.9 but is larger and stiffer and comes in 2 pieces to aid transportation up to the slope. 
Hitec HS125MG servo's are recommended for the ailerons and flaps although I fly one of these and use Hitec HS85MG's very successfully. A very generous nose is revealed when the nosecone is slipped off allowing plenty of room for big NiCad packs, the receiver and your choice of servos. The V tail is made of 2 pieces and is detachable, this is made of glassfibre and balsa and we recommend Hitec HS85MG's for the operation of the elevators and rudders. The tail uses 2 large carbon rods fixed to cup and ball links for control.
Also in the fuselage and situated underneath is the 'shotgun' style ballast tube which takes up to 24oz of lead. Adding ballast really does add to the Blade XL's top end speed range. As with all X Models the Blade XL comes with a very comprehensive accessory pack.
